First guests announced
This year we welcome some (international) guests at the BUTFF. We will not reveale all names yet, but our main guest will be, the Italian director Enzo G. Castellari.
Castellari was famous in the 70s and 80s, known for his exploitation films including Inglorious Bastards, which was later used by director Quentin Tarantino as an inspiration for his movie. Castellari often managed to create a masterpiece on a small budget. His films are characterized by artistic use of editing, camera angles and slow motion. For us he is BUTFF real BUTFF-mastermind. He will be present all through the festival and talk about his films. On Saturday afternoon you can score his signature at the autograph session at the festival.
This year we also welcome Johan Vandewoestijne, Cult filmmaker from Belgium. A retrospective of his work will be shown, including his controversial debut movie Lucker and of course his latest film Laundry Man from 2015.
